Joint Optimization Between Berth Allocation and Yard Assignment in a Container Port

摘要: 泊位与堆场是集装箱港口的核心资源。为了降低集装箱港口的拥堵率,提升其运营效率,综合考虑了泊位与堆场分配之间的联系,提出了两者的联合优化方法。首先,建立了一个混合整数规划模型;其次,设计了一种基于遗传算法的启发式算法,有效求解了该问题;最后,设计了算例实验,对比了此联合优化方法与传统优化方法的相关数据。实验结果表明,联合优化方法较传统优化方法有相当程度的成本优势,证实了此优化方法的有效性。

Abstract: Berth and yard are the core resources in container ports. In order to reduce port congestion and improve port operational efficiency, the relationship between berth allocation and yard assignment is considered, and a joint optimization approach is proposed. First, a mixed integer programming model is formulated for the problem. Then, a genetic algorithm-based solution method is developed to solve the model. At last, a series of numerical experiments are performed to compare the data between the joint optimization and traditional ones. Result shows the cost advantage and the efficiency of the proposed approach.
