Empirical Analysis of SafetySensitive Organizational Factors

Abstract:  Organizational failure is an important research direction in the management science. The failure of a single person has significant effect on the organizational failure. The safety issue in the complex manmachine system is discussed in this paper. By expert consulting and questionnaire survey in the enterprises, the organizational factors that impact the system safety are analyzed. A model is developed by using statistical methods of confirmatory factors analysis and highorder factor analysis. With this model, the relation between the factors and the safety influence degree to the system is presented. It shows that the managers are the vitally important factor for system safety. Also, staffs acceptance of the policy of the organization takes a very important role for system safety.
