Classification of Organizational Factors for Nuclear Power Plant Safety

Abstract: A comprehensive classification framework of organizational factors is developed by combining the existing categories and those from questionnaires.There are three main categories: organizational strategy and goals,organizational structure,and organizational culture.With the proposed classification framework,71 reports of human factor incidents in a nuclear power plant from 2000 to 2003 are analyzed.Based on the analysis,the critical factors are identified.Moreover,the categories of organizational factors relative to safety are obtained with R-type clustering.
