Abstract:  Emergency response is discussed when an emergency event happens in supply chain system. A manufacturer is the core of the supply chain considered in this paper. The concept of the degree of emergency response and dynamic management thinking is introduced. Then, a dynamic twodimensional emergency management model in supply chain is proposed. With this model, when an emergency event happens it can give an emergency level according to the different degree of emergency and use a corresponding coordination policy between manufacturers and suppliers by dynamic management. In this way, the cycle of stock can be shortened, the emergency cost can be reduced, and the normal operation of supply chain can be recovered as soon as possible. An example is presented to verify the proposed method.
