Abstract: In eye movement mechanism, retinal fovea area is perturbed by the noise, which makes the movement duration and accuracy fail to reach optimization at the same time. Aiming to obtain the optimal eye movement trajectory, considering weight of duration and accuracy, and from the perspective of minimal cost of eye movement, an optimal control model of eye movement based on optimal control theory and the Pontryagin minimum principle is proposed in this study. Meanwhile, the relationship of eye movement main sequence is used to analyze this model. The result shows that there is a unique optimal duration for a given amplitude which makes eye movement to minimize the total cost, and the eye movement trajectory is optimal. The model is meaningful to optimize eye movement strategy and eye movement trajectory for the pilot, controller and other staff.
