Abstract: Studying the carbon emission trade (CET) in the power industry is conducive to solving the coordination and simulation problems in the electricity market transactions and helps to improve and guide China's carbon emission trade system. The impact of the CET system on the carbon emissions of power companies is analyzed. Based on our definition of dealer roles and functions in the electricity market and carbon emission trading market, an agent-based CET model is constructed to carry out research on the implementation of CET model from three aspects:power generation technology conversion, carbon emission trade and related market simulation. The results show that the agent-based CET model has more advantages than the traditional modeling method. By considering factors such as risk preferences, expectations, and participation time of market participants, this model can link a single electricity market to the carbon emission trading market to form a multi-market, multi-agent simulation. Therefore, this proposed model can promote the scientific assessment of the dynamic adjustment of the main body strategy of the power market and the status of carbon trading.
