    Yang Xue1, Li Zhan-guo2, Lu Ya-li1
    2014, 17 (6):  1-06.
    Abstract ( 1630 )   Save
In the case that there are obstacles in the path guiding by floor field, which is designed based on the shortest distance method, the moving-cellular way is impracticable. To overcome the drawback, a new method to establish floor field is put forward by employing the shortest path from lattice point to exit. On this basis, taking the miners’ evacuation problem as an example and supposing the miners evacuate without backward move, an urgent evacuation model for miners is designed and some simulations carried out with Matlab. The results show that the established model can simulate the evacuation of miners. The average evacuation time rapidly increases along with the increase of position-keeping probability, which is consistent with the actual situation.

    2014, 17 (6):  7-11.
    Abstract ( 1790 )   Save
How to eliminate or reduce the non-value-adding service process or process time of patient treatment for the radiology department is discussed. The Lean Value Stream Mapping (VSM) under the framework of the Lean Manufacturing system is a visualization tool used to describe the logistics and information flow, which has been widely used in the traditional manufacturing industries. Based on Lean Value Stream theories and simulation modeling methods, the service processes and process time of patient treatment in the radiology department of West China General Hospital are analyzed. By identifying the main bottleneck process, the constraints of the main bottleneck resource are further analyzed, a management problem of the physician team uniformly distributing patients′ diagnostic case information to write diagnostic reports is found out, and finally improvement programs and strategies of the main bottleneck process in the radiology department are proposed. The resource's rough-capacity matching mechanism of lean management is an effective way to improve patients treatment process of the radiology department.

    2014, 17 (6):  12-16.
    Abstract ( 1653 )   Save
In eye movement mechanism, retinal fovea area is perturbed by the noise, which makes the movement duration and accuracy fail to reach optimization at the same time. Aiming to obtain the optimal eye movement trajectory, considering weight of duration and accuracy, and from the perspective of minimal cost of eye movement, an optimal control model of eye movement based on optimal control theory and the Pontryagin minimum principle is proposed in this study. Meanwhile, the relationship of eye movement main sequence is used to analyze this model. The result shows that there is a unique optimal duration for a given amplitude which makes eye movement to minimize the total cost, and the eye movement trajectory is optimal. The model is meaningful to optimize eye movement strategy and eye movement trajectory for the pilot, controller and other staff.

    2014, 17 (6):  17-23.
    Abstract ( 1395 )   Save
The concept of time entropy of the production system is defined, and the way is analyzed in which the lean introduction improves the 5 major elements of production system, human resource, machine, materials, environment, to influence the response time of production system. Following the principle of science and practicality, the appraisal indicators system of lean management implementation and an evaluation model based on time entropy are established, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis, which provides an effective basis for the effect evaluation of lean management implementation in the production system. Then the applicability and effectiveness of the indicators structure and mode is finally validated by a case study in a hose enterprise, based on the comparison between the evaluation results and enterprise actual situation. The research results provide a new methodology to evaluate the introduction of lean management in the production system.

    Xu Yun-tian, Zhang Li-bo
    2014, 17 (6):  24-29.
    Abstract ( 1546 )   Save
Buffer size for drum-buffer-rope (DBR) affects lead time of the production and throughput, and it has an influence on product competitiveness. Aiming at the problem that static buffer size cannot be adjusted according to fluctuations in the production system, an approach is proposed to estimate buffer size dynamically. The three factors which have an impact on constraint buffer size are analyzed and the buffer size to offset fluctuation caused by fluctuation of process before the constraint, number of process before the constraint and fluctuation of the constraint via G/G/1 model estimated. Also estimated is the minimum buffer size to avoid bottleneck starvation caused by machine failure and machine maintenance. On this basis, a method which can adjust buffer size dynamically based on simulation is proposed. A production example is given, which proves the validity and usability of the proposed method.

    2014, 17 (6):  36-41.
    Abstract ( 1637 )   Save
Based on the IE (industrial engineering) check list and  ECRS (eliminate, combine, rearrange, simplify) principles, a program analysis method is used to optimize the production process to solve the questions that happen on the processing sections of temper mill frame, for example, many times of transport, the long distance of transport, cross waste of logistics paths. Then, on the basis of simplifying the production process, the necessary auxiliary departments are added. By SLP (systematic layout planning method), the plane layout is optimized, with which the relationship among the operation departments analyzed to draw the corresponding diagrams, and considering the revising factors and the limitation of the actual condition, two feasible layouts worked out. And then the layout evaluation is conducted by weighted factor method, so as to determine the best plan. By doing so, 37 hours of production time is saved, and 15 meters of the logistics path shortened. Optimizing the design can reduce the production cost and minimize the security risks. It is easy to manage and ensure the service. Then, it improves the processing efficiency and provides some reference for the plane layout of manufacturing system.

    Han Bing, Lin Yu
    2014, 17 (6):  48-53.
    Abstract ( 1407 )   Save
Through studying the specific processes of material distribution of production lines, considering idling period caused by the stagnation of information and materials, and taking operating cost of distribution center into account, cost models of ration, regular and immediate distribution are respectively established applying the theory of stochastic process, and a quantitative analysis made for the optimal strategies of the three distribution forms. Moreover, with a case study, the three distribution methods are discussed from the perspective of optimal strategies and management condition, which proves that ration distribution is always the best, and that in some special situations regular distribution or immediate distribution is the best. Thus a viable scientific basis for choosing the suitable distribution form in the actual operation is provided to enterprises.

An Optimal Inventorydistribution Model with Deteriorating Items and Inventory-Level-Dependent Demand
    Min Jie1, Fu Juan1, Ou Jian1, Liu Yao-xi2
    2014, 17 (6):  54-61.
    Abstract ( 1566 )   Save
The demand of items in the supermarket mode of sales terminals is largely dependent on its inventory level because of the “selection effect” and  “advertising effect” of items-demonstrated inventory. It is assumed that retailer sells deteriorating items in supermarkets, and the demand of items linear depends on the current stock levels. When the inventory level in the supermarkets drops to a certain amount, the items should be transported immediately from distribution center to supermarkets to supplement its inventory. An inventorydistribution model is developed based on the goal of maximum average profit, the existence and uniqueness of the optimal solution to the present model are examined by optimization theory, and an algorithm is also shown to find the global optimal inventory and distribution policies of the considered problem. Finally, numerical examples are given and a sensitive analysis made to illustrate the effect of parameters on the system's optimal strategy and profits.

A Comparison Simulation on RFID-Enabled Hybrid Push/Pull and (s,S) Strategy for MultiEchelon Inventory
    Li Guo-jia, Wang Ding-wei
    2014, 17 (6):  62-69.
    Abstract ( 1714 )   Save
The Internet of things and radio frequency identification technology (RFID) is an effective way to improve the performance of multiechelon inventory network of supply chain. The RFID can accurately count and orientate the products in the storage and on the way. Therefore, this technology provides a technical method for the RFID-enabled electronic Kanban system to make the inventory state of all the enterprises in supply chain remotely and realtime visible. Then the RFID-enabled electronic Kanban system can become the basis of the RFID-enabled hybrid Push/Pull control strategy. The three-echelon inventory network of supply chain distribution system is exemplified to design the RFID-enabled Push/Pull hybrid control strategy by which the manufacture is controlled by Push and the distribution and retailers are controlled by RFID-enabled Pull. This design is based on RFID-enabled electronic Kanban system and according to the structural characteristics of the supply chain and the functions of the enterprises in different stages when the supply chain runs. It should be noted that this design draws lessons from the optimal Push/Pull hybrid control structure applied in the single factory multistage production storage system. To verify the performance of the hybrid strategy, the strategy is compared with the (s,S) strategy based on the RFID. Considering the dynamic and stochastic nature of the supply chain system, the simulation models of system based on the principle of discrete event system simulation are designed and realized. Finally, the RFID-enabled hybrid Push/Pull control strategy is demonstrated to be valid and superior by simulation examples. It is assumed that this research provides reference for the management practice of the multiechelon inventory network in supply chain.

Misreporting Based on Asymmetric Information of Carbon Emission and Carbon Price in a Two-echelon Supply Chain
    Yang Lei, Zheng Chen-shi
    2014, 17 (6):  70-76.
    Abstract ( 1408 )   Save
Under asymmetric carbon information between upstream and downstream enterprises, in order to study the optimal misreporting decision, the Stackelberg game theory is adopted to discuss a two-echelon supply chain led by a manufacturer. A new production model is established based on carbon emission trading mechanism, and the optimal operation decisions of supply chain participants are obtained through the converse solution method. Besides, both the manufacturer and the retailer’s misreporting behavior and their influences on supply chain performance are discussed by a qualitative analysis. The results imply that there are big differences between carbon information misreporting and cost misreporting in supply chain. Manufacturer could seek his maximum profit whether he misreports or not. Compared with reflecting carbon information honestly, retailer prefers to under-report carbon information, and the misreporting of the retailer will increase both the profit of the manufacturer and the retailer. However, the supply chain profits in misreporting situation are still lower than the optimal supply chain profits. The manufacturer can coordinate the supply chain with revenue-sharing contract, and the optimal revenue-sharing coefficient has positive correlation with retailer’s profits in misreporting situation.

Study on Dual-Channel Supply Chain Coordination of Drop Shipping by the E-tailer
    Zhang Guang-ming, Zhao Shi-nan
    2014, 17 (6):  77-82.
    Abstract ( 1701 )   Save
A model of drop shipping by the e-tailer is proposed, in which the manufacturer sends its customer orders to the e-tailer and e-tailer fulfills the orders. Then a dualchannel model is established, comprising of an e-tailer and a manufacturer which owns electronic channel. And the e-tailer is a leader in Stackelberg game. The dual-channel supply chain system is inefficient after analyzing and comparing the profits of a centralized system and a decentralized system. Then a reverse revenuesharing contract is confirmed to coordinate the dual-channel supply chain. Finally, a numerical example indicates that a range of the sharingfactors can achieve the dual-channel supply chain coordination.

Profit Distribution Mechanism of Upstream Segment for Centralized VMI & TPL Supply Chain
    Yang Huai-zhen,Feng Zhong-wei,Huo Yu-long,Dong Ying
    2014, 17 (6):  83-88.
    Abstract ( 1611 )   Save
Based on revenue sharing (RS) contract, the coordination about upstream of the centralized VMI & TPL supply chain is studied. Because the RS contract failure to coordinate the supply chain, an RS contract of risksharing is put forward. However, the contract cannot guarantee optimal Pareto of profit implementation about the member enterprises of supply chain. Finally, the contract is further extended to the RS contract of risksharing on basis of asymmetric Nash negotiation.Research shows that the contract can not only ensure the whole profit to achieve optimal Pareto, but it can also arrive at the optimal Pareto of revenue of all members.

A Game Theory Analysis of Competitive Strategies of Durable Goods Manufacturer and Dealer under the Electronic Commerce Environment
    Peng Jing1,2,4, Lin Jie1, Lin Zheng3
    2014, 17 (6):  89-94.
    Abstract ( 1448 )   Save
A two-period dual channel model is considered in which a manufacturer sells a durable product directly through both a manufacturer-owned e-channel and an independent dealer who sells products directly to consumers. By solving the Kuhn-Tucker conditions of the optimization problem of each period, each supply chain player’s optimal decisions and profits are obtained. The results show that the product durability and direct selling cost have an important impact on player’s optimal strategies in a dual channel supply chain. When the direct selling cost exceeds a certain threshold, it is optimal for the manufacturer to open an e-channel even when there are no products sales through it. Moreover, the dealer may benefit from the manufacturer’s encroachment when the direct selling cost is higher.

A Behavioral Research of the Supply Chain Members Considering Information Leakage
    Qiu Xiao-ping1,2,3, Li Ying-bo1
    2014, 17 (6):  95-102.
    Abstract ( 1729 )   Save
In order to study information sharing between longitudinal members and horizontal members′ demand information leakage mechanism in a supply chain, a basic model consisting of one wholesaler and two competing retailers (incumbent and entrant) is established. The selling products are alternative and subject to Bertrand competition. The differential pricing strategies of the two retailers are discussed under the conditions of information confidentiality and information leakage. The supplier′s choice mechanism is analyzed. The results are as follows: Once the leakage occurs, the retailers will choose the separating equilibrium price. The entrant can judge that the market is high when the incumbent′s price is higher than separating equilibrium price, and otherwise low in market demand. When the product pricing of the incumbent is at the minimum interval, the wholesaler will disclose the incumbent′s pricing information.

Decision Models for Airline Alliance Network under Revenue Sharing Mechanism
Cong Xiao-ni, Li Shi-ping, Cui Yi
    2014, 17 (6):  103-110.
    Abstract ( 1498 )   Save
A decision-making model in the airline alliance network made up of two airlines is proposed and the effect of revenue sharing mechanism on performance in airline alliance networks investigated. Firstly, an equilibrium model in the airline alliance network is analyzed under the centralized decision-making. It is found that lower transportation costs not only reduce ticket prices of airlines, increasing passenger traffic, but also enhance the overall effectiveness of airline alliances. Secondly, under the revenue sharing mechanism, the decentralized decisionmaking model in the airline alliance network is investigated. The results show that revenue sharing mechanism can not only maximize the effectiveness of the individual alliance members, but also maximize the overall effectiveness of airline alliances. The implementation of the revenue sharing mechanism can improve the performance of airline alliance members. The level of performance is closely related to the revenue sharing coefficient, the substitution relationship between airlines and the ratio of operating costs in the domestic and international routes. In addition, the numerical results determine that the effects of different parameters on the performances of the airline alliance members are different under the revenue sharing mechanism.

The Randomness of the Critical Chain and its Application in the Progress of Construction Project
    Yan Wen-zhou, Ren Ge-ye
    2014, 17 (6):  111-114.
    Abstract ( 1385 )   Save
The CPM method is first used to calculate the critical path and duration of the project. But the CPM method does not consider the constraints on the construction of various resources. When the methods are based on the critical chain, the critical chain on the construction process of resource constraints is obtained. In fact, a variety of resources required in the construction process are influenced by some external factors. The completion of these processes exhibits a certain probability. Therefore, ideas and methods of stochastic processes are applied to obtain the optimal critical chain. Eventually, the optimal critical chain and duration are calculated. The method is of significance to guide the actual construction.

Credit Evaluation of Supervision Engineers from the Perspective of Stakeholders
    Zhao Li-li, Wang Xue-qing, Chen Yang-yang
    2014, 17 (6):  115-120.
    Abstract ( 1630 )   Save
Traditional credit evaluation methods only evaluate the credit of the supervision engineers from the perspective of a single subject. It will lead to perceptual deviation in low concerned criteria because the supervision engineers exist in the social network formed by many stakeholders whose preferences are different. In order to solve this problem, stakeholders′ preferences are used to build different credit evaluation index set which overlap among various stakeholders, using fuzzy soft sets theory to evaluate the credit of supervision engineers. The model converts the evaluation value using the fuzzy soft set, and aggregates the evaluating information for obtaining the final value. It makes full use of stakeholders′ knowledge and experience, and reflects the uncertainty and incompleteness of the information in the assessment process. Finally, a numerical example indicates that the model fully expresses stakeholders′ preferences and avoids perceptual deviation caused by the stakeholders′ various attention, which stimulates the supervision engineers to practice faithfully.

A Study of the Provision Efficiency Threshold of Safety Producer Service through Markets
Zhong Jing-jing, Mei Qiang, Liu Su-xia
    2014, 17 (6):  127-133.
    Abstract ( 1466 )   Save
Provision of safety producer service through markets is an important way for the enterprise. But markets of safety producer service in our nation are not perfect yet. From the point of the labor-division-theory, the provision of safety producer service through markets depends on the enterprise's decision on organizations and manufacturing patterns, which is also the equilibrium of the enterprise- mutual decisions influence. The threshold value, which represents the provision efficiency of safety producer service through markets, is the switching factor for the provision patterns of safety producer service. Efficiency threshold is solved in an inframarginal analysis model of decision-making on specialization and manufacturing patterns. It is showed in this brief that, provision costs of safety producer service inside the enterprise and trading efficiency through the markets are the decisive factors which decide the provision patterns of safety producer service.

    Abstract ( 1354 )   Save
In order to reveal the effect of manufacturing practice between market orientation and operation performance, a research from the perspective of modularity was performed. Based on 204 valid samples, it was empirically examined that, customer orientation and competition orientation had significant positive effect on product modularity (β=0-21/0.20) but not on process modularity, and that product modularity had significant positive effect on process modularity (β=0-46), but it showed no significant impact on operating performance while process modularity demonstrated significant positive impact on operational performance (β=0-29). In addition, it was empirically tested that control variables of firm size and firm age had no significant effect on operation performance. The research indicates that modularity could be an effective manufacturing practice to improve operation performance when the firm implements market orientation strategy. However, difference between the mechanism of the product modularity and process modularity should be noticed.

    2014, 17 (6):  141-146.
    Abstract ( 1475 )   Save
The evaluation research on the service business based on the perspective of the customer perception is inadequate and the importance given to the attributes of the different product spare parts service is high disparate due to the different types of services and other factors. Thus it is difficult to give service attributes fixed weights. Spare parts service performance evaluation system is established by drawing SERVQUAL model, in order to comprehensively analyze the factors affecting the performance of spare parts. So the evaluation of spare parts service performance applies GIOWA operator to integrate multiple sets of fuzzy and uncertain customer evaluation information to evaluate the spare parts service performance in the perspective of the customer perception, which achieves good results on vague language evaluation and provides an evaluation method which is the combination of qualitative and quantitative evaluation of spare parts service performance.
