    2016, 19 (1):  24-30.
    Abstract ( 828 )   Save

To guarantee continuity and decrease maintenance cost of a complex mechanical assembly system under uncertain environment, a dynamic selection method of maintenance policy based on Markov decision is put forward. On the basis of the comprehensive consideration to the cost of operating, inventory, maintenance and the cost due to the lost production, a reliability-cost model is established. The model takes the secondary production system as the research object, equipment condition and the buffer inventory as independent variables, and reliability-cost as objective function. The best maintenance policy in different conditions of production system is derived by simulated annealing algorithm and fuzzy nonlinear programming. The method decreases downtime, reduces equipment maintenance frequency, and provides basis for designing the production line and scheduling the maintenance plan. The calculation analysis of samples proves the effectiveness of the model.

Product Overhaul Strategy Formulation under Twodimensional Warranty
    WANG Yukun, LIU Zixian
    2016, 19 (1):  31-37.
    Abstract ( 835 )   Save
In the previous research on maintenance strategy under warranty, the effect of customer satisfaction on the cost to the manufacturer has been ignored. According to this shortcoming, the hidden loss due to the drop of customer satisfaction is considered in order to develop an effective maintenance strategy under twodimensional warranty for the manufacturer. The expected total cost analysis models under the minimal repair strategy and the overhaul strategy are respectively developed. Taking the sensor of the airbag system in the automobile product for example, the optimal overhaul strategy is obtained through twostage process. The results show that compared with the minimal repair strategy, implementing the overhaul strategy can effectively reduce by 22% the total expected cost to the manufacturer, and increase to 61% the probability of repurchase of the customer. This provides effective decisionmaking support for the manufacturer to formulate the maintenance strategy under twodimensional warranty.

    2016, 19 (1):  38-44.
    Abstract ( 884 )   Save

With the increasing awareness of product life cycle cost (LCC), extended warranty has become the new focus of manufacturers. Extended warranty has significant influence on the product maintenance cost and market competition. In order to obtain the decision optimization project of the extended warranty with lower LCC, based on the consideration of preventive maintenance, the price decisionmaking strategy of extended warranty for manufacturer is analyzed, and then, the decision optimization model for product extended warranty is proposed to minimize the consumer maintenance cost of unit time during the product service life, and the optimization model is solved by grid search algorithm. With the method of grid search and simulation software Matlab, a numerical example is given to validate the rationality and effectiveness of the model and algorithm. It shows that the maintenance cost of unit time reduces and the life length increases on the basis of protecting the interests of the manufacturer, so the consumer′s optimal decision project is derived.

    2016, 19 (1):  45-50.
    Abstract ( 887 )   Save

With the rapidly growing demands of hazardous chemical materials, transport accidents are more and more frequent. In order to reduce the risk of transportation and ensure the transportation safety, a research is conducted by connecting scheduling problems of hazardous chemical materials with multimodal transportation and the hazardous chemical materials packed in tank containers. A multimodal transportation scheduling model of hazardous chemical materials in tank containers is established based on the minimum cost and risk under a time constraint. At the same time, a fuzzy algorithm based on twodimensional Euclidean distance is used to solve the model. The case study verifies that the application of multimodal transport to scheduling problem of hazardous chemical materials is beneficial to reduce risks and ensure safety of the scheduling. In addition, this method can reach the goal of minimizing cost within the scope of the controllable risk and it is a good reference for the logistics enterprise to do scheduling plan.

    RUAN Huan1, GENG Liang1,2, XIAO Renbin1
    2016, 19 (1):  51-60.
    Abstract ( 915 )   Save

A study is conducted into the process called the ending logistics in which goods are delivered to customers from the distribution center in ecommerce logistics distribution. To reduce distribution cost and improve service quality, the vehicle routing problem is combined with the characteristics of ecommerce consumers′ demand, namely “big varieties, small quantity, multiple batches and short cycle”. Based on the uncertainty in customer daily demand, the informatization resilience distribution strategy is put forward. A model with the target of minimizing the per capita cost is established along with an improved ant colony algorithm based on the extreme dynamics to optimize the logistics distribution path. The convergence efficiency of the algorithm has been largely improved through the “optimization” and “elimination” and by combining “global search” with “local search”. Finally, an example is taken to verify the resilience of the algorithm faced with uncertainty demands. Effective distribution of ecommerce logistics can be achieved based on this research.

    FU Weifang1, BIAN Jiao2
    2016, 19 (1):  61-65.
    Abstract ( 920 )   Save

Airlines meet maintenance requirement of line replacement unit (LRU) with twoechelon supply pattern by base warehouse and central warehouse and set high fill rate to support airplane operation. Under this situation, it raises a problem as to how to decide LRU stock level in different base and central warehouses. Firstly, the requirement rate of LRU is calculated by Maximum Likelihood  method using its failure data. Secondly, a twoechelon inventory control model is established to optimize total inventory costs under the constraint of joint fill rate. At last, a marginal analysis algorithm is designed to solve this model. An example is given to show that this approach is effective and reduces inventory cost.

    2016, 19 (1):  74-80.
    Abstract ( 867 )   Save

A method is presented to optimize the profile based on functional response optimization method combining the dual response surface method with the satisfaction function based on principal component analysis. The response value of each observation point is treated as an independent response. The Profile has been as multiresponse optimization problem of nominalthebest type. First, desirability function is used to measure the mean and variance for each observed point. Finally, the principal component analysis (PCA) is adopted to derive the overall performance index (OPI) for multiple response which is the weighted sum of principal values of both the desirability values of mean and variance for each observed point. A methodology is utilized for optimizing the problem of correlated observed points while involving the simultaneous optimization of the process mean and variance. Examples show that the method is simple, with satisfactory optimization results.

    WANG Binggang
    2016, 19 (1):  81-85.
    Abstract ( 925 )   Save

Two optimization objectives, minimizing the variation in crucial parts consumption and the makespan, are simultaneously considered to study the sequencing problems in car engine mixedmodel assembly lines under limited intermediate buffer size constraints. The mathematical models are presented. Since the problem addressed is NPhard, a multiobjective genetic algorithm is proposed, in which hybrid crossover operators and a heuristic mutation method are adopted, and the Pareto ranking method and the sharing function method are employed to evaluate the individuals′ fitness. The optimization result of the multiobjective genetic algorithm is compared with that of a multiobjective annealing algorithm. The comparison result illustrates that the multiobjective genetic algorithm proposed outperforms the multiobjective annealing algorithm in respect of the solutions′ desirability and also the computation efficiency. The multiobjective genetic algorithm is an efficient algorithm for solving the sequencing problem in mixedmodel assembly lines under buffer size constraints.

    2016, 19 (1):  91-96.
    Abstract ( 900 )   Save

Visual search is very common in both everyday life and industrial application. Numerous studies have been done to investigate the influencing factors of visual search performance. However, few studies have explored the effect of personality on visual search performance. MBTI (MyersBriggs type indicator) is used to examine personality and task difficulty (high vs. low) on visual search performance. Results indicate that introverts have better accuracy in low difficulty condition than extroverts. Participants with perceiving preference have shorter reaction time than those with judging preference regardless of task difficulty. The interactive effect of personality and task difficulty on search performance is significant. Guidelines are provided to visual search operators selection and training.

A Study of the Efficiency of Major Inland Ports in the Yangtze River System Based on the Perspective of the Technology Gap
    ZHANG Qiaoli, FAN Yuanwei
    2016, 19 (1):  156-162.
    Abstract ( 861 )   Save

The evaluation of ports in the Yangtze River System is important to scientifically reflect the status quo of port efficiency, which contributes to further achieving the port efficient operation and to constructing the Yangtze River Economic Zones. The present researches about port efficiency neglected the technology gap of the ports. In order to make up this shortcoming, the metafrontier efficiency, group efficiency and metatechnology ratio  (MTR) of 21 major inland ports in the main stems of the Yangtze River system during 2010~2012 are analyzed using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and MetaFrontier production function. The empirical analysis result shows that with the maximum mean value of metafrontier efficiency being just 0.27, the efficiency of major inland ports in the Yangtze River System is at a low level, and the efficiency of each group still has a very big promotion space; that with the values of average group efficiency being 0.58, 0.67 and 0.27, technological level varies in each group and is affected by the development of economy and geographic locations; that while MTR of Group Three is 1, it is up to the potentially best technology level but inefficiency of management is universal, and technology level and management efficiency of both Groups One and Two need to be enhanced, but the first thing for both is to continue to promote technology level. Furthermore, the Data Envelopment Analysis projection shows that the phenomenon of input congestion and output deficiency is serious in the inland ports of the Yangtze River System. Finally, some measures are put forward to improve the efficiency of inland ports in the Yangtze River System.
