Abstract:
Aiming at cost minimization, a study is conducted on disabled task accommodation in manufacturing by using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The accommodation is classified into two categories: soft and hard ones. By using the motion analysis method designed for the disabled, a jobcapacity margin model is developed. Based on this model, hard and soft accommodation costs can be calculated such that the task accommodation decision can be made in a hierarchical way. An example is presented to validate the proposed method and good results are obtained.
