Abstract:
In order to obtain a reasonable worker-assignment plan for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises under “virtual process database” (VPDs) operating system, and to minimize production cost, a worker-assignment model is constructed, through using the improved genetic algorithm of elitism preservation, optimizing the workers′ assignment and scheduling in VPDs. Repeated simulation experiments and comparison show that the improved genetic algorithm has the faster speed of convergence, which indicates that it is effective.
