Lean Production Improvement by EVSM and Flexsim Simulation

Abstract

Abstract: The environmental value stream is constructed, which facilitates value stream management analysis of the operation efficiency as well and environmental efficiency. In addition, the integration of simulation and environmental value stream improves the objectivity of future value stream mapping. By applying the theory to one motor factory's production process of stator and rotor, the production problems are identified in environmental value stream management from time and energy consumption, and then the IE tools and Flexsim simulation are applied. The implementation effect not only includes inventory reduction as well as ratio increase of value-added time, but also contains easing the influence of production to environment.
