Procurement Contract Design Considering Supply Disruption and Delay in Delivery under Asymmetric Information
    SHEN Xiaoyu, SONG Wenqian
    2017, 20 (2):  1-6.  doi: 10.3969/j.issn.1007-7375.e15-1401
    Abstract ( 948 )   PDF (464KB) ( 5871 )   Save
In order to explore the impact of supply disruption risk and delay in delivery on the manufacturer's procurement decisions under asymmetric information, the manufacturer's optimal procurement contracts and supplier's optimal production decisions are analyzed, by employing the theory and methodology of procurement mechanism design. The results show that: 1) the manufacturer should regulate the production quantity and lead time of the supplier by designing penalty for non-delivery and for delay in delivery, respectively. 2) Given supplier's private information about supply reliability, the high type supplier receives higher penalties for non-delivery and delay in delivery than in the case of symmetric information, shortening the optimal lead time. In contrast, the low type supplier obtains lower penalty for non-delivery, and the penalty for delay in delivery is not affected by information asymmetry, leading to unchanged lead time decision. 3) Information asymmetry does not necessarily decrease social welfare.

    Abstract ( 884 )   PDF (817KB) ( 6072 )   Save
A mechanism for LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) enterprise agent selling with asymmetric information is designed and analyzed. A principal-agent model is established to maximize the profit of the LPG enterprise, and the salve volume function and the transfer payment can be obtained through variational method after analyzing the objective function, the incentive compatibility constraint and the participation constraint. The sales volume and the transfer payment are increasing with the increase of the service level, while the selling agent can only obtain the maximum profit when he/she reports the true service level. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.

    2017, 20 (2):  14-18.  doi: 10.3969/j.issn.1007-7375.e16-4207
    Abstract ( 819 )   PDF (339KB) ( 5967 )   Save
With the universal application of the Internet, the traditional marketing models have been replaced by network marketing model, and room reservation online has become the mainstream of the time. Because the demand uncertainty in online room reservation leads to No-Show, hotel vacancy rate remains high, reducing the hotel's operating profit. In order to improve the hotel room occupancy rate, overbooking strategy has been used to room reservation in the pre-sale period. Assuming that Probability distribution information of check-in rate is known, the optimal level of overbooking has been obtained in the pre-sale period by maximizing the expected revenue optimization model, and a sensitivity analysis has been made of factors that affect the optimal level of overbooking.

    Abstract ( 1647 )   PDF (354KB) ( 6373 )   Save
Aiming at hierarchical medical service between public hospitals, a duopoly game model is established based on patients' rational perception of healthcare service. The model studies the strategic choices of different grade hospitals that face the same disease treatment under co-regulation of government and healthcare market. The sub-game perfect Nash equilibrium is applied in the analysis of the profit trade off between two hospitals. Results show that hospitals can differentiate quality and price of service to get optimal profits and that government can differentiate reimbursement ratio to promote bypass of patients in third-grade hospital. The research can support pricing and reimbursement decision making of medical treatment for public hospitals.

    Abstract ( 1257 )   PDF (560KB) ( 6046 )   Save
Considering that in the Fourth Party Logistics (4PL), customers' demand is changing with the time or envir-onmental parameters, a problem for 4PL Routing Problem with Stochastic Demand (4PLRPSD) is proposed. With the analysis of the stochastic demand, a mathematical model for the 4PLRPSD is built based on the stochastic programming methods with subjective preferences. Taking into account the character that the problem needs to choose a constrained shortest path in the multi-graph, a genetic algorithm based on the double array priority coding method with stochastic simulation is proposed. The experimental results show that with the different duration time, the transportation cost increases with the credibility level.

    2017, 20 (2):  51-55.  doi: 10.3969/j.issn.1007-7375.e16-1142
    Abstract ( 1447 )   PDF (715KB) ( 6282 )   Save
The study aimed to investigate the effect of display movement speed on visual fatigue in dynamic visual search tasks. The movement speed had five levels: 0°/s, 2°/s, 4°/s, 6°/s, and 8°/s. The visual fatigue was measured by critical flicker frequency (CFF). The analysis of variance (ANOVA) results indicated that for dynamic visual search tasks, the main effects of movement speed and search time point on visual fatigue were significant and their interaction effect was also significant. Within 40min search time, visual fatigue increased as search time increased. When performing search tasks after 40 minutes, the visual fatigue became steady. The visual fatigue at 0°/s showed no significant difference with that at 2°/s. When the movement speed was in the range of 2°/s to 6°/s, the visual fatigue increased as movement speed increased. The visual fatigue at 6°/s showed no significant difference with the visual fatigue at 8°/s.

    2017, 20 (2):  56-63.  doi: 10.3969/j.issn.1007-7375.e17-2002
    Abstract ( 2714 )   PDF (1047KB) ( 8571 )   Save
To solve the problem of artificial potential field algorithm being liable to fall into local minimum in the obstacle avoidance path planning of industrial robot arm, a combination of artificial potential field and improved Rapidly-exploring Random Tree (RRT) algorithm is applied. Firstly, artificial potential field algorithm is used in local obstacle avoidance path planning. When falling into local minimum, the improved RRT algorithm can adaptively select the temporary target point and make the search process jump out of the local minimum point. In addition, artificial potential field algorithm will be applied when the robot arm leaves the local minimum. This method not only achieves obstacle avoidance on the end effector of the robot arm, but also prevents the collision between the rod and the obstacle, eventually bringing the end effector to the target point. The simulation experiments show that the proposed method is simple and can adapt to the change of environment and is still effective in complex environment. The algorithm can satisfy the requirement of the obstacle avoidance of the robot arm. Finally, the experimental results show the consistency between the actual and the simulation results.

In order to improve the efficiency of heat-treatment and to effect on-time delivery, considering the heat-treatment batch processing time constrained by double factors, the amount of stove and the maximum job size of the batch with two objectives of minimizing makespan and minimizing maximum lateness, two mixed integer linear programming models are developed, respectively called Model C and Model L. According to the relational feature between the calculation result of Model C and the setting value of the batch number upper bound, the heuristic HC is developed to improve the efficiency of Model C. A counter-example shows that the feature of Model C does not apply to solving Model L. The heuristic HL is developed for minimizing maximum lateness. An extensive simulation study is conducted. The results show that the two mathematical models are able to obtain the optimal solution, but not more than 18 jobs. The algorithm HC can get the optimal solution of 60 jobs. Compared with the optimal solution, the average deviation of the algorithm HL is not more than 15%, and the scheduling performance is better than the other two typical algorithms.
