A Research on Airlines′ Price Competition in Multi-route Market

摘要:

 为深入分析航空运输市场中同时存有直飞航线与经停航线的航空公司市场价格竞争问题,在研究中国航空运输市场结构特征的基础上,构建了基于多航线产品的航空公司价格竞争博弈模型,开展了市场价格竞争及其均衡分析,探讨了航空公司差异化与航线产品替代性对多航线产品市场竞争与演化均衡的影响。研究结果表明:在多航线产品市场中,航空公司采取联合定价模式将比单独定价模式获取更大的市场收益;航空公司间差异化对航空公司价格竞争均衡、市场收益等有显著影响;航空公司拥有资源的情况不同,差异化系数对航空公司价格竞争的影响演化也不同;多航线产品间的替代性对航空公司价格竞争均衡也有显著影响。

Abstract:

To investigate the problem of airlines′ price competition in the air transportation market with non-stop routes and stop routes, an airlines′ price competition model is established by using the game theory, based on the analysis of structure feature of air transportation market in China, and the effect of differentiation between the airlines and the substitution of multiroute products on the price competition and market equilibrium is discussed. The results show that airlines can get more profit by using joint pricing than separate pricing in the multi-route market. The differentiation between airlines has obvious impact on market equilibrium and market profit. The effect of differentiation depends on the resource that airlines have. The substitution of multi-routes also has obvious impact on airlines′ competition equilibrium.
